Gripping a massive steel beam like a sword, the automaton smashes through fortifications and adversaries alike with mechanical efficiency. Steam vents hiss from its back with every step, and glowing runes pulse along its core—remnants of the arcano-reactor that fuels its massive frame. Some factions seek to reactivate these titans for war; others believe they should remain buried, for fear that waking one may awaken them all.

The Steampunk Giant Automaton is a marvel of arcane engineering and industrial-era ambition—towering over buildings and grinding the ground beneath its feet with piston-driven might. Built of brass plating, iron rivets, and whirring gears, this colossus was originally designed to serve as a weapon of last resort for a forgotten empire. Now, it wanders ancient battlefields and derelict cities, its directives corrupted or lost to time.

CAMPAIGN INTEGRATION STARTERS

• The Forgotten March:

  • A long-dead empire’s war machine has reactivated in the wastes, mindlessly following ancient war commands etched into its control core. Villages in its path are flattened without warning. The party must race to uncover the automaton’s command phrase or control device before it reaches a populated city.

• Rise of the Gearwrights:

  • A radical steampunk faction known as the Gearwrights has uncovered a dormant Steampunk Giant Automaton and is working to restore it as a symbol of power. The party is sent to sabotage the reawakening process—but the deeper they delve, the more they realize the automaton may be sentient, and perhaps even… cooperative.

• The Titan Below:

  • Earthquakes shake a mining town, revealing an enormous metallic face buried beneath the rock. As tremors grow stronger, the Steampunk Giant Automaton begins to stir. The party must decide whether to aid in awakening it to fend off a looming threat—or prevent its reactivation at all costs.

• Clockwork Rebellion:

  • A noble family that once used automaton guards to oppress their people suddenly finds themselves under siege… by their own machines. The party is hired to protect the nobles, only to discover that the Steampunk Giant Automaton leading the assault is acting with unnerving intelligence. They must decide whether to dismantle it—or parley.
